Hi ya'll,

I am a producer for ESPN Outdoors, and I am researching a story on belly boats. I wondered if you guys would be willing to share what you think are the coolest features of kick boats as well as things you may have dreamed of, but haven't seen in use yet? I have been looking at your site and it looks like you all have some kick butt kick boats!

Besides being a hole lot of fun,the kickboat for me is just a great relaxing way to fish(If ya don't have to row against the delta wind & tide to far):o You fish slower so you fish the water more efectively.
The coolest boat would have to be Joe castro's "cadilac",he has about the biggest livewell set up and the Bimini top rocks! They realy get ya thinking about how to personalize and modify them.Standing platforms and fishfinders are starting to be must have and how can I do it items.

Angie - Sounds like you are looking for show material for Skeet Reese and his partner. You came to the right place. Check out some of the past articles on this site. It's not monster garage material but it's stuff that works.:+ :+

Angie - I was talking to Skeet at one of the Fred Hall shows (S.F.) and he mentioned that he was doing a show for ESPN that was sort of a Monster Garage with a bass fishing twist. There's so many ideas that I have but too crazy to post !!!!:+ :+

Angie, since this is involving Skeet Reese, did you know Skeet's brother Jimmy Reese got started fishing bass tournaments out of a float tube and was president of the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club in the mid 90's. Jimmy currently fishes the BASS Western Opens and fished the Tour in 2003. Just throwing it out there to think about adding to the story. Skeet is also very familar with the club since they had their monthly meetings at the tackle store he used to manage. Looking forward to seeing the end result, Pat Wilson.

Somebody better talk about Jay's K.B. frames or I'm gonna bust a seam.

Hand crafted aluminum frames that allow a guy to breakdance on the deck of a kickboat deserve mention. Oh yeah, they're good for sight fishing too. :o }(

Just to let you guys know, she's already somewhat familiar with some of our people and has got a bunch of history from our founding father...Rich Caro! She also has seen the short clip of SCBBBC.

This is going to be great for all of us...Thanks Angie!

Take some pics of your boats guys...maybe we can send her a CD with everything???

could you educate me on this frames?

28384, Who could help me fabricate...

This is a design I'd like to make a reality, with 4 tubes on either side (either metal or PVC). Kinda looks like *exhaust pipes* doesn't it??? :+

Anyway, it'd be cool if I could get this made with, like, aluminum tubing for the horizontal cross-bars, to brace the 8 (chrome or white) rod tubes. I don't know; just something I've been tossing around. Unfortunately, I'm not too much of a wizard when it comes to actually designing & fabricating stuff like this (welding & what-not).

In any case, any feedback from the board???

28385, p.s. I still like that Scadden rig w/casting deck...
