I'd be interested in going to Pardee next Wednesday if you don't mind the company. I know the boundaries for float tubes but not sure of kickboats. We can talk to the people together if you'd like. Or we can just fish and see what happens. If you don't mind this 'old guy' tagging along, let me know the specifics on time and place to meet.

There are some nice smallies in there, too. Fairly clear water, so some might bring along lighter line. I've done pretty well there, but only largemouth.

Lazy,

I would not mind the company at all. I am not shure where you live but I (obvously) live in Sacramento so it might be best to meet at the lake but I am willing to meet anywhere along the way. I am not sure what time I will be leaving but I would like to get an early start. I have not been to the lake in about ten years but I did catch some quality smallies when I did go. Shoot me an e-mail and we can discuss it a bit more.

I live just 20 minutes from the lake so it probably would be best to meet there. I'll e-mail you as we get closer to the day to talk about time, etc.

Don't forgot your Rapalas at Pardee! It's been a little while since I've fished there but I've caught a lot of fish just letting Rapala's sit then twitch, sit some more, twitch, BAM! I can't tell you how many times I got a nice largemouth on one cast then stuck a smallmouth on the next!

Even though the lake doesn't have the reputation of big bass I've had a 7+ try to eat my trout (it attempted three times!) on the end of my line and my Uncle netted a 7 lber which followed his buddy's trout all the way to the boat! Don't forgot your swimbaits!

I was thinking about throwing a swimbait a bit, butI am concerned that the heavy line that I use on my big bait rod will work aginst me in the ultra clear water. I am going to use my 6" Castic floating trout because I know that I can toss that bait on a lighter rod. What do you guys think about 8" and 10" swimbaits and trout plugs in gin clear water.

When a bass sees a 8-10" trout I don't think it matters what size line you're using.

Just my 2 cents.
