Today 8 anglers had 6 calico bass, 5 sand bass, and 10 blacksmith perch.

The good news is that rockfish opens back up on March 1st. There's a special 3/4 day trip on that date, and knowing Jason, he probably has a couple of great areas in mind for that trip :)

I talked to Jason a few days ago and he said that while the counts may look poor, they are catching and releasing some decent numbers of rockfish, lings etc in shallow water while targeting the sand bass and calicos. So for a guy who doesn't mind not brining anything , it's still a good time out catching some fish and enjoying a day on the water.
