Good afternoon Anglers we are headed down the coast after an awesome day of rock fishing up the coast today with our private Charter repeat group put together by Howard Coolidge.
We fished anywhere from 250-280 feet of water today and for the first hour and half of fishing it was very scratchy adding 5-20 fish a stop to the bags . Around 10:30 conditions straightened out and from then on it was very steady fishing for us on primarily Reds with a few nice Coppers in the mix as well.
Today we had good success on the double dropper loops with a 12 ounce weight with either Squid strips or Anchovie.
Our 31 anglers are taking home 257 Reds, 36 Coppers 17 misc Rockfish and 1 Lingcod.
The next available trip on either the Stardust or the Coral Sea with room will be Monday. The Coral Sea has a 3/4 day and the Stardust has a 1/2 day . Call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 for reservations.
