#10499, "Santa Ynez River"

I left Santa Barbara at about 9:00 for the SYR. I stopped off at Hook Line and Sinker to pick up my wee frog and wee grasshopper. I parked at the last lot and hiked for about 3 miles, fishing every pool I encountered on my journey. It was nothing short of awesome, the sunfish were huge and in some spots the smallies were slamming the frog just as it touched the water. I had a blast. Oh yea, a reminder to all, please use barbless hooks, it is not easy to unhook the smaller fish when they slam your treble hooks.

hehe, good times. Reminds me of my early bass fishing days with that wee-frog. Glad you're having a good time, and a pat on the back for C&R up there.
