Hey Guys,

The SB Sportfishing Club is having their monthly meeting this thursday night. It is a great place to meet some very good local fishermen, get to fish other's boats and spots, and to learn about local and long range fishing. We have a raffle that normally has 500-700 $ worth of stuff, with the grand prize being a nice seeker rod, and/or great shimano reel.

The meeting is free, raffle tickets are $5, 5 for @20. It is at 7:00 pm this thursday night, Nov. 2nd. in the Louise Lawrie Davis Center, by the lawn bowling green on Victoria St. in Santa Barbara.

Let me know if you can come so I can meet you there and introduce you to the guys.

Frank and I were in attendance at the meeting this evening. Very cool. Great group of guys, and we had a good time. I'm afraid you'll be seein more of us in the future, har har.

I must concur. The meeting was good. I got skunked on the suspenseful raffle though.... I'll have to reinvest next time and hope the fishing gods toss me a shiny shimano or calstar bone. Larry, thanks for the hints. I'll try them and get back to you after I get my tube patched.

I really wanted to go to this but have been overtaken by a flu bug. Could you keep us posted on when the next meeting is?

I attended the meeting as well and met Moondoggie, Brian, Frank, and CalicoHunter for the first time. Thanks to Moondoggie for the open invite! The meeting was well worthwhile. Great group of guys, got some good information, and even managed to win something at the raffle. It's one of the wildest lures I've ever seen and I'll probably never use it but I'm thinking it will look great on the Christmas tree... Like Brian said, you guys will probably see me again.

I wanted to go but couldn't make it. When and where is the next meeting?

Marco will have to answer, but I think it was like December 7th or something. It's going to be a big banquet with like a $2000 raffle ($2000 in prizes that is). I'm definitley planning on attending.

Hey it was nice meeting some of you guys from this board at the club!Ive been involved with them for about fours years now and have a great time! we get some killer speakers sometimes, and the raffles are always good, not to mention the comrodery of the other anglers in the club,we are working class folks who just love to fish! hpoe to see you guys in the future....Larry
