hello everybody I am going camping at Mcgrath beach near Ventura and was wondering if it would be worth-it to bring my rods. And if so what to fish for and what to use.

It all depends on what you want to catch. If you want to catch some perch, try using 6#, with a carolina-rigged grub.

If you want sharks or rays take a bigger rod and fish cut bait.

You may also want to try throwing a swimbait--if the surf permits.
