Hey Deep,
Thanks, brother. The fish I caught Saturday was a good half pound shy but the fish I caught in September of '06 was almost 4 ounces heavier than the current state record. Not worth it to me to kill the fish. Anytime you come visit the home state let me know, we'll hook up!

Damn!
I stopped by Auburn Sports & Marine (in Auburn, WA) yesterday and saw that the photos were posted on the wall and I had a chance to talk briefly with Chris about your two Tru-Tungsten swimbait fish.
Since I have the story 2nd hand, I'm sure the other folks would like to hear how much time you had been fishing the Tru-Tungsten swimbait before sticking the 11 pounder.

What's up, Tim. Thanks for the shout out.
I had never fished that particular lake before. I ended up going there because I drove by several other lakes and they were absolutely packed with boats. I decided to drive an hour out of town and try out a new lake.
I launched the boat and spent several minutes on my trolling motor and graph just checking out the shallow flat that extends off the launch area. I got about 200 yards off shore and found a nice looking ditch. I decided to give the Tru-Tungsten Bluegill a try. It was my second or third cast working the swimbait through the ditch when I caught the 11 pounder.
