Catch or guess the size of, the largest fish on a hard bait at the 2005 U.S. Pro Kickboat Open at Clear Lake and win a tackle box full of custom painted Finneous Fogg crankbaits. (1 box, 10 baits - estimated retail value $135-$150) Included will be topwater baits, shallow and medium diving cranks plus lipless crankbaits all with Lazer Sharp Eagle Claw treble hooks.
Just to be clear. The definition of a hard bait for the purpose of this contest will be any hard bodied lure made of wood, plastic or foam and equipped with treble hooks.
There are two boxes. One for the angler who catches the largest fish on a hard bait during the Open. And one for the angler who guesses closest without going over to the heaviest fish caught on a hard bait during the Open.
Put your guesses below in tenths and hundredths NOT OUNCES. For example; 7.53 pounds. All guessing ends at 12:01AM Friday, May 13th. This is because I'm heading to Clear Lake that morning. :)
The winner will be awarded at the conclussion of the weigh-in on Sunday. I will have a list of all the guesses. You must be present to win. If you leave early, bummer. The prize will go home with somebody!

Not to throw a wrench in but...how do you know what the biggest fish was caught on? The weight guess for biggest fish is cool, but anybody can "say" they caught their big fish on a hard bait ;)

This contest isn't for the tourney "big fish". It's for the "biggest fish caught on a hard bait". As far as far as confirming how it was caught, there is no way to have proof positive. I'm doing this on the honor system.
