Where do you get the Arbogast versions of the AC Minnow? I would like to pick up a couple more but have no idea where to get them.
Any info would help! Thanks!

I've seen em on ebay before. You'd be a lot happier with an ms slammer though. You can order em from the website,

There is no such thing as an Arbogast AC Minnow. They only made the AC Plug.

Oh ok
Yeah I don't know where to get the arbogasts any more. They used to have them at Big 5. I know that Alan Cole took back over the production of all of the AC lures so the Arbogast stuff is no longer in production. If you are looking for the real AC plugs try Boater's World. They had them in Santa Barbara and I know they have them in the Boater's Worlds out in Arizona. They could probably mail them to you.

Rob,
I thought I used to see some at Big 5 and Boater's World. I don't think Big 5 has em anymore, nor boater's world. Maybe when you come down here you could look into it, and bring back a couple to sell for, oh, a slight profit... :-)

andy,
If you've got the minnow and the plug, they they're the allen cole models. He wants the arbogast models which came before those.
-Brian
PS: it's a 7", not a 5".

In response to Reply # 9

I know this can be confusing so let's get it figured out.

Alan cole made the original AC Plug. He made 7, 9, and 12 inch versions.

Arbogast took over production of the plug. They made 5, 7, 9, and 12 inch versions and a lot more colors than the original AC Plugs.

Alan Cole began making the AC Minnow in small quantities while Arbogast was still making the AC Plug. He made the Minnow in 7 and 9 inch versions. ( Editors side note -> Mike Shaw was making the MS Slammer in 1993. He was the first person to put a bill on a trout lure that I know of. Mike actually ran into Alan Cole at Santa Margarita Lake a couple times back then and Alan Cole told him that his lipped plug would never catch fish etc etc. Shortly thereafter Alan Cole begins making the AC Minnow with it's round bill just like the original Slammmers (they were not always a square bill). Alan Cole then threatens to sue Mike because of supposed patent infringement. Interesting huh? No legal action was ever taken and things in the big plug world have cooled down considerably since that time.

Eventually Alan Cole took back over production of the plugs again. Arbogast stopped making plugs and Alan Cole himself now makes a 7, 9, and 12 inch version of the AC Plug and a 7, and 9 inch AC Minnow. These are a little harder to find than the Arbogast ones but I know that Boaters World and other stores carry them.

Hopefully that little history lesson has cleared things up =) =) What will Alan Cole come up with next?
