Went out on the 3/4 day trip on the dana pride today. We had a pretty big load around 65 i think. Fished around the rest of the fleet just south of san onfre. The bite was pretty slow for the most part. We did have about a 30 minute wfo bite on short cudas. i got 9 shorts, 2 on bait and 7 on surface iron. Other than that it was pretty slow for the boat. I got lucky and managed 3 5-6 lb bonito. Also the crew was really good and so was the food.

65 is way too many people on any party boat,i'd rather remove fingernails w/pliers than fish w/64 others on any boat...lol
Catch Alot,Photograph a few,Release them all...

out of 22nd on the monte carlo, its 80ppl, try deadheading with that many ppl!

65 is a nice number but then again i dont know how big the dana pride is. :) depends on the size of the boat :7

65 was too many people for this trip. It would have been ok if we were fishing for sand bass on the bottom, but not for yellowtail. There was tons of tangles, but the deckies did a great job.
