What a difference a week makes! Last week, beautiful weather, week tides. This week, windy & colder, killer tides swing (VERY high tide in the morning.) Fishing? So so. I ended up with six, no real size. All on 7" senkos.

And to think it was pretty flat calm in Mildred for most of the day, slight breeze and warm. Crazy how the delta has those small pockets where it gets windy and such.
I only caught a few, I was busy rigging and baiting for bluegill but we had fun. Had one good one choke a frog and I farmed it in the grass it actually came through the muck and smoked it.

It was a fun day on the river with you guys Saturday. At least the wind and the tide worked well together. My day was exactly like Clint's, 7 fish all on 7" Senkos. After my first 3 fish I used a 5 incher for a while but got no love and picked up the rest after switching back to the 7 incher. I also got a couple of taps on a blade but taps is all they were.

Me too. I caught my first fish on a spook on the second cast of the day. A bit later I switched to a cut tail and got two within ten minutes of each other. Slowed for an hour or so then caught two more while trying to stay out of the wind next to the rip rap. Then turned to head back to the truck at about 930a. Picked up one more, still on the cut tail. Off the water by ll or so. Thanks Mitch for helping me out of the water and Taylor too. I truly appreciate all the help. Fun time with Dave, Clint, Taylor and Mitch.
