Ill be down there. I hope to make it Friday midday. Steve and new friend Matt will definately be down there early Friday.
I'm counting down the days. Have not done much fishing and I'm really looking forward to the little agressive spots. I will be starting out with cheetos. This weekend needs to hurry and get here.

Hmmmm Chumming with cheetos.....now there is a technique I haven't used yet....wonder if it works better then that Biosonic thing. :-)

Regarding the use of Cheetos...
It is entirely possible that some helpful environmental group that wants to protect our natural resources has done a study and found that Cheetos is a major cause of heart disease and obesity in spotted bass. Therefore chumming with Cheetos or using them as bait is almost assuredly illegal in California.

Or quite possibly, a group of law students has filed a suit alleging that Cheetos may be harmful to the fish. Therefore using Cheetos as bait or chum is forbidden until such time that DFG submits an EIR showing that the impact of Cheetos on the environment and the spotted bass fishery is negligible. Then using Cheetos may be allowed on certain bodies of water, but only if bought at the marina on that specific lake to ensure that no non native invasive Cheetos will invade a waterway where they may cause harm to the native fishery and/or the state water conveyance system.

I am a maybe due to $$$ issues. I'll be returning from Vegas on Thursday so if I win or come close to breaking even I'll be there Friday afternoon. The trip to Vegas is basically free except for food, drinks, and gambling but as anyone who has met me knows that my bar bill is likely to be substantial... }(

There is only one part (unless you are thinking of San Antonio Lake North-South) The main camp ground at Naci will be pretty much open, not many people this time of year.

Update: Lake has come way up. Little rain at Naci = lots of water runoff at Naci!
