Joe Agrillo steals the win from 24 kick-boaters, tubers, and yakkers on a hot day on the river. Joe had 17.31 pounds of bass to earn his first BnT victory. Congrats Joe!
Todd Iwamota took second place with 15.56 pounds. Third went to Rob Linden with 15.25 pounds. Big fish and fourth place would go to Mario Ugenti. Mario's big fish topped the scale at a whopping 9.31 pounds.

Thanks Mitch for posting so quickly! Also thanks to Taylor and crew for putting on another good show at Middle River. I think I like that place! ;)

Great job to Joe for putting it together and getting some nice afternoon fish along with Rob for tearing it up out there. Also great fish Mario! Holy cow that was a pig! Also great job to the rest of the guys getting on fish.

I'll be posting my report a bit later.

Nice looking fish guys, that is sweet Mike! :-)

Looks like the river was much calmer in terms of wind on Sunday then Saturday, Saturday was a wild day out there, glad it calmed down for you guys.

Thanks for the congrats guys!... Nowhere else I'd rather get my first win...

Todd and Rob, I was thrilled when, with a couple hours left, I thought I had a chance at third behind you two!. Congrats on your strong fishishes as usual. Mario nice work on that beast bass, seeing that fish and Mikes smallmouth made my day just as much as winning.

My morning started off hot and heavy right when I got to the barrier. I caught two short fish and two that went in the box on a 4.8' flick shake in camo. I became frustrated after getting 2 of my last 4 worms in this color robbed by catching and missing more short fish, so I decided to save them for later. Put down the pansy gear, picked up the wiggle wog and second cast, bam! 2 pounder. Caught 3 with 3 other blow ups in 45 minutes. Went back to where I had missed one, flipped in a brush hog and hooked and landed a 3 pounder. Had an 11-12 pound limit for most of the day, couldnt catch an upgrade for what seemed like forever. Saw a swirl in the tulies near where I was flipping, grabbed my Hudd Shad and lightly dropped it in. What a massive hit. Hooked the fish only to have her come unplugged after 3 seconds of some major thrashing in the red grass. Awesome. Best fish of the day splashed me in the face and was gone. My morale was down.

Later in the afternoon I couldnt buy a frog or flippin bite so I decided to take a break. Got out on the barrier to adjust my pontoons after a morning of boat issues, slipped and fell on my elbow. Great. Hurt like hell. Plenty of time to fish, no motivation to go very far. Landed 3 short fish in a row on same worm only to have a 3+ shake the hook as I stretched out my net. There goes the last worm in that color. Neat. Decided to play it safe and hope to get lucky. Found the closest matching color I had in a senko to the camo flickshake and started making lazy casts to places I had already caught fish at throughout the day. Boom, 4+-lber. I was thrilled. 15 minutes later I hookep up with what I thought was a 2-3 pounder ripping through weeds on my 12lb test. Well it was in the weeds but coming out in a hurry, and uh ya it was bigger than I thought. Nate and I watched it come about 3 feet out of the water as I desperately tried to catch up, not ideal sutuation. She kicked my ass, but ended up in the net, around 6lbs. I was so excited that I culled 4-5 ounces right back into the river. That was swell. Whatever, I was stoked, rowed back to launch and got out a little early. I couldnt wipe the smile off my face if I tried, which I did.

Thanks again to all you guys who make this possible. Safe to say I'll be doing this for a long time. Love to share the company of all you great guys on the water. See you all at beacon.

Joe A.

Joe right on man for tyour first win and great report. I had just turned to look down the barrier when I saw you set the hook on that fish. I then continued toiwatch you bring it in. That fish didi fly out of the water.

So did I not only forget the scale, Doug Tyler was handing me money last when I was getting my boat and stuff ready. I told him to put the money in my seat.A few minutes later after putting the boat in the water and helping Noah do the same I came back to lock my truck and shut the doors. A long story shortI forgot to put Dougs name on the list. With that being said I owe the guys in the money more money. Todd I have already told you and rob you as well. So Joe for your first win I shorted you $11 and Mario I owe you a total of 7$ more $2 for 4th and $5 for big fish.

My quick report goes a little like this. I lost at least a 3lb plus on a blade around 8 right before the tide changed on the meat wall. After that iI just could not get that out of my head. I just plain out fished horrible missing bite after bite on whatever I was throwing. The frog i had 2 shortly after pull my frog down where I could feel them pulling, would swing and set the hook for nothing. Its a good thing I had 3 in the box before that blade fish I lost. I also threw about a 1.25 - 1.5lb type fish back in the water cause when I landed the fish it was already bleeding. (lesson learned there). Well right around 12:45 before I watched Joe land his fish I had a 4lb plus hooked realed in and ready to net. I went to go net it and the net stopped short and got stuck in the weeds. I turned the fish to bring it to the net and off went the hook. Well that sucked, but the fish actually swam straight into my net and the net was still stuck in the weeds and I could not pull it out fast enough. I turned and looked at Noah and Nate all I could do was laugh. What a day, lost good fish, forgot the scale and shorted the guys in the money a little money. SORRY GUYS

Looking forward to seeing a bunch of you out at Beacon. Mel"'s puts on a gret tourny. I have been fishing there event for the last 6 years and it keeps getting better.

Had a great time. Picked up and lost all my fish on the Meat Wall. I should have picked up more fish, but i got lazy on the hook sets. All came off the Senko.

Thanks again guys and here we go:

Did a short pre-fish on Saturday with my boat team partner. Found a buzz bite but most were short strikes. Figured this could be something with a warmer day ahead.

Raced up the river with a number of guys to above the barrier. Only a couple casts in a 4 lber slams my buzz and I quickly get it in the boat (I forgot my net)! Yeah baby! I thought going into the day 12-15 lbs would put me in good shape and this 4 would really help!!!

After about 5 minutes of getting my line unwrapped and the fish in the boat I kick back up to the spot I nailed the 4 lber. On my first good cast back a 1.5 nails the buzz!

After this I went for a short drought but then picked up #3 flipping a senko between a mat and the bank. A nice 2.5. Just after that a 2.5 lber comes off my frog walking it back from a tulle patch. Damn.

There was a long drought after this on the slack tide and when I talk to DJ he lets me know he's gotten 4 in the well with more lost! Dang!

After mixing it up with the buzz, senko and frog I decide to fish the middle section with a buzz and WHAM! #4 slams it and I put it in the well. This was around 10:30. My confidence has just jumped and from there I continue down until I get slammed again but the fish just missed getting hooked. I quickly grab my flipping rod and toss in my beaver...there goes my line!!! Set hook and #5 is in the boat!!! Nice 3+ and I'm starting to feel pretty good. We still have hours to go and I have a nice limit going.

At this point the tide has been going out and the weeds are getting thicker. My buzz needs cleaning after every cast so I decide on a buzz frog and miss a couple small ones. One fish then absolutely hammers it and I have another 2+ in the boat culling out my 1.5. Nice.

To finish my day (and help keep this a little shorter) I decide to mostly punch as this technique has been getting the better of me over the past year. It wasn't too long before I see a little movement in the cheese, punch through the crap and BAM. Solid fish in the boat culling out the 2! Right after this in the primrose BAM, 1 more fish culling out one of my 2.5s! Yes! On the same patch I get a 1.5 deeper in but doesn't cull.

At the very end of the day across from our launch area I ended up flinging a 4 lber from the primrose then lost another one deep in (have no idea the size). All in all a very fun day for me considering I had lower expectatations!

Nate yes we pay 1 out of 5. I do not get to count myself as aperson in the payouts, since I do not have to pay a fee for aoy last year. There was a total of 25 guys. I paid out like there were 23 when it should have been 24. I pay big fish only.
