#10654, "Virginia Lake area"

Will be making a Mammoth trip this Wednesday. I'm going with my brother's family, and my Sister in Law is a "Howard Johnson" camper so she has rented a condo in Mammoth. We'll probably hit my favorite place, Rock Creek, one of the days but we may go check out the Virginia Lakes area another day. I've never been up there so I'm wondering what to expect. I flyfish but my nephews may be throwing a little more of the fly and bubble thang. Can we expect to have some success up there? How about throwing Rooster tails or Kastmasters into those lake, and what is the stream like up there? We may hike up to Blue Lake as well so I'm wondering how the fly and bubble works up there also. Any help would be appreciated. Since we'll be so close to the Mammoth Lakes how are Mamie and Mary and George in the evenings with fly and bubble? It always seems to be crowded up there but we might check it out anyway.
