I had the same problem two years ago after a long night of cranking all night long. Actually my wrist hurt more, which one of those braces fixed when worn everyday for about a month. The tendonitis in the elbow lasted much longer (about three months) Doc gave the routine anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) but that killed my stomach. Ended up getting an elbow brace, the one with the gell pad in it and with a few Tylenol every morning, it was back to normal in about three months. With the brace on it pretty much felt fine, even when fishing, just had to take it a little easier until it was healed. Of course now I have Bursitis (shoulder) in the same damn arm and that just doesn't seem to go away, even after a year. Two things I have found that work really well are drinking more water and taking Glucosamine(sp) which is for joints. I take this stuff called Tri-flex which you can get at GNC and it has really helped out my shoulder quite a bit. You might give that a try, but definitely get yourself one of those arm band braces with the gell pocket in it, they really do work great for the tendonitis in the elbow from my exprience.
