Fished santee today with my friend daniel, brett, jake, and some other people out there from sdfish.com. Daniel hooked up right away when we got there in the middle of lake 5 but lost it. I cast out right behing him 10 seconds later and wham. A nice fat 3 1/2 to 4 pound fish to start off the day. Fished lake 5 very thouroughly today but only ended up landing 2 and losing a few really nice ones. Daniel also got a monster off drop shot this fish must of been pushing 8 pounds. Went to the general store about 1:30 cuz we were hungry before heading down to lake 4. While were eating i cast out right next to the tules by lake 4 and hook up with what i thought was a monster. It fought like it was at least 6 pulling drag even on 20 pound braid. When i got it up i was amazed at the size of this fish. It was only stinkin 3 pounds and fought like 6. x( then headed down to the island in lake 4 for a couple more bass between me and daniel before i left. Lost a really nice solid 7 pound fish in the tules on a rat-l-trap and also tied on a hudd for a little practice. Took me by surprise when something hit it and actually stuck. It was the same nice one i lost off my rat-l-trap had the same exact mark on its head and side. Lost it about 10 feet out tho. Then daniel hooked up on a nice fighting fish that fought like it was 4 or 5. Got it up to find out it had the lenght of a pound in a half bass but was as fat as it was long must of had a trout curled up in his bellie. I only have 3 pictures on my phone cus it died half way thru the day but ill try and get the rest from daniel later.

First fish off the day good solid 3 pounds or so.

this bass was to beautiful to look at i had to hold myself back from crying.

second one in lake 5 about 3.

The moment you have all been waiting for Daniels 8 pound bass here it is brace yourself.

Woops did i say it was pushing 8 pounds. sorry guys my bad at estimating again its closer to pushing 8 ounces. I guees ur right i better invest in a scale with the way i estimate fish.

Daniel has a few more pics and ill try to get those up soon.
