#17132, "Convict Lake Fish Identity"

I remember a few years ago I saw some fish swimming in the shallows at Convict Lake in the Sierras. They are about the size of a 12 inch Trout. I could tell they are not trout. I tried to get one to eat a crawler, nope. Anyone know what that fish is called. And what swimbait would best imitate it. I'm thinking that maybe a Big Brown like the taste of those fish.
Thank you
