If they come with one I take or cut the split-ring off the lure and either use a snap or just an end-loop depending on the lure. I like snaps for anything subsurface and end-loop for floaters. For flexibility I always tie a surgeon's end-loop in the line, and can quickly loop on anything I want. It's just a palomar with one more turn, and it's esp great for rigging when the wind is blowing, dark, or your eyes are at least 40yrs old LOL
