Dunked the boat and met Mike Kostial shore fishing. Told him to hop in the back and we were on our trout throwing way. Lap 1 around the lake was generic swimbait for me, and castaic swimbait for mike. No biters. My generic swimbait was getting a little worn and was in need of some super glue so I retired it for the day and put on a slammer. It was just lookin too slammerish to pass up anyway. On lap 2 around the lake we came up on this big rock that sticks out of the water on the north shore. Mike throws his castaic swimbait up next to it and gets bit. I throw the slammer in there and about 10 or 15ft from the boat get rolled on. After a short fight she was in the net. Weighed in at 5.2lbs and had a nice red crawdad mouth goin on. After some technical difficulties with the camera and having the fish out of water for some time we only managed to get one sub-par picture, but it's better than nothing. Just wanted to get her back in the water without any trouble. We completed lap 2 around the lake and then fished the rocks on the north shore and the shoreline on the south shore before hitting the rock one more time before the siren sounded off. The rock was covered with cormorants by the time we got back up there, but we circled around it anyway. No more action so we called it a day. Man, I'm actually starting to expect a fish when I go fishing now, this is getting bad... ;-)
