Thanks for the info. I just ordered two 7.5"; a flat-backed bleeding rainbow and a 3-D light rainbow. Hopefully I'll be able to use them this weekend.
I have bad luck with the big lures, I lost my osprey within the first hour on it's first outing at perris, that was damn embarrasing! I could see it stuck on a boulder but it was too deep to reach. Then at Castaic the line snapped off my Castaic soft trout but luckily I was able to retrieve it with a spook. I hate getting that sinking feeling when the line snaps and your lure flys off into the horizon. I better start knocking on wood.
