Man what a nice morning on the water. Actually over cast most of the time with some nice sun later. Best part was the fishing however. Met up with a new friend John. I was tubing and he brought his yak. We spent the morning on a nice steady bite. Most fish came on weightless Assalt Salt Shaker worms in Junebug color with some on red. Also had a few fish on small crawdad colored cranks. I ended up sticking 12 or 13 fish between about 7:00 and 11:00 AM. No toads, my best went about 15 inches. Not sure on John's final count but I know it was at least 6. Lost a couple of good fish in heavy cover. One of the fish I got had a fat crawdad stuck about halfway down it's throat. Guess it felt like a Salt Shaker for desert.
