Well I planned on doing a quick kayak fishing trip yesterday before work. On the way up to the lake as I was getting rained on and blown around from the gusting winds, I was really thinking about just turning around and going into work early, yeah right }(
I decided to keep to the plan but just fish from shore if it was too windy at the lake, and it was.
I just fished around the immediate marina area in a couple spots that were protected from the insanely strong winds. Picked up two nice little chunky bass on a fly-lined 5" Green pumpkin/purple flake senko. I caught both off a rock like jetty next to the launch ramp. Also threw a 7" optimum swimbait for awhile with no love. Two bites and two fish, not a bad ratio.
First fish was right under 2lbs.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/PHISHnutS/Silverwoodbass22-15.jpg
Second fish shortly after, right over 2lbs.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/PHISHnutS/Silverwoodbass2-15.jpg
Couple random shots of the weather and surroundings. The clouds were moving overhead very fast and the gusts would come up and create little water tornado's just out in front of where I was fishing, pretty impressive stuff! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/PHISHnutS/100_1781.jpg
