Up at San Antonio for water skiing and of course I had to bring my tackle. They had a few MS Slammers at the tackle shop so I picked one up (my first). Felt kind of weird throwing such a huge bait. Didn't get any takers but San Antonio doesn't have any trout so...

Anyway, I got a total of 5 fish up to 18 inches (about 3 or 3.5 pounds). Some were in the morning from shore near the launching ramp and some were in the evening from my dad's ski boat. My brother and dad also got a few decent bass with one nice smallmouth. Everything was caught on Rat-L-Traps just working the shoreline casting toward good looking structure. Would've been much easier with a trolling motor but we did what we could. Didn't see any shad like we did a few years ago when the fishing was outstanding.
