The river is so low now that river is a misnomer, and the water is pretty sterile except for algae and leeches. A good rain fixes that, but now, to protect this tiger salamander, there are signs up forbidding getting in the water. Whatever happened to natural selection? Since trout see these things as candy, I wonder if they'll be making any more trout plants upstream?
