#437, "upper sta.ynez river"

The river is so low now that river is a misnomer, and the water is pretty sterile except for algae and leeches. A good rain fixes that, but now, to protect this tiger salamander, there are signs up forbidding getting in the water. Whatever happened to natural selection? Since trout see these things as candy, I wonder if they'll be making any more trout plants upstream? Kinda funny - first they stick this corporate takeover of public land (adventure pass) on us, and then they forbid using the only reason anyone would want to come. I used to say I was a yellow-dog democrat, until the yellow dogs showed up - history clearly shows that trading liberties for security means you have neither.
