Got on the water at 4pm and saw all the shad getting busted in the marina, quite a sight. We blazed to Kimball to see if it was going there too, it wasn't. Hit the banks getting the most wind and started throwing a jerkbait, third cast I'm on! nice battle - then boated her 5.75 lber. Worked down that bank and picked up a couple more small bass. Later started throwing a crank and cast right up in between some barely sunken boulders and before I could take a crank on the handle, my crank was inhaled, nice fish 4.60 lber.
Tried buzzbaits all through the night, but no takers, we only managed a handful of fish on the worm. One of those was a 6.60, this bass had the head of a 9 lber but was skinny. Off lake at 11:15 to beat the crowd at the ramp.
