#5456, "ALLIGATORS THREATEN FLORIDA ANGLERS"

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has closed bank fishing in parts of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge west of Boynton Beach, Florida.

Low water levels have caused many large alligators to stack up near popular fishing spots, where they sometimes come out of the water to chase hooked fish.

Local officials plan to lift the bank fishing restriction once the water level rises and alligators dissipate back into the swamp.
