#11173, "Carpinteria State Beach Report For 11/22"

I just got the new 2004 version of the Shimano Sonora 2500FA the other day, and decided wind or no wind I was going surf fishing! Anyways drove back up to Carpinteria state beach where I whacked the perchies two weeks ago, and guess what? No wind! A little bigger surf and dirtier water but little to no wind. Worked the same area of beach near the slough for 40 perches, mostly smallish fish but a few decent ones.
All caught on motoroil/redflake Big Hammer perch grubs, with a little bit of anchovy Pro-cure(it seem to make a big difference today) I got started at the high tide this morning, but the fish really didn’t start to bite till the tide started moving out again. By the way, that new reel is awesome for a forty dollar reel, it has the ARB bearings so we will see how it holds up to the surf enviroment….Larry…..

Real fish are measured in pounds - not inches!
