Just got back from an early morning a-kicking in the surf at Goleta. Daniel, Brian and I braved the larger surf and sub-standard conditions (weeds in the water) for a total of two average sized perch. The big boys weren't around and the weeds made fishing a little difficult. The waves beat us up pretty good and we looked like drown rats walking back to the car. The perch were caught on 3" Big Hammers in Black Widow and Blue Shad colors.

Not everyday can be as good as last week - but putting in your time yields both good and bad trips!
