Went to Dana Point Harbor around noon. Was pretty dead as usual around noon. Matter of fact, I don't think I caught anything til about 3PM. I threw some swimbaits around for a little bit with no luck. I mostly used squid and shrimp for bait. I started getting bit around 3pm. Total count (landed) was 7 pretty large sargos, 1 small WSB and 1 yellowfin croaker. That's not including two that I didn't land. I lost two LARGE fish cause I didn't bring my net with me, and the almost 10 foot drop didn't agree with gravity so I lost them on the way up. One was about a 18-19" WSB and the other was a sargo slightly bigger than the yellowfin croaker in the pic below. Largest sargo landed was about 15" and that yf croaker's about 17-18". All caught on shrimp and squid.
