I used to get seasick on boats and thought fishing was kind of boring when I was younger. But during the 1997 El-Nino, I bought a wimpy "Big-5" Saltwater Combo, and fished the Sea Horse out of Dana Point on a half day boat. I didnt know much about fishing, but wanted to get yellowtail (I thought it would take about 20 trips to get one). On that trip, I caught 4 yellows...another was lost at the gaff. They were only peanuts (about 5 to 8 pounds), but I couldnt believe the runs they made on my "Big-5" pole! I've been "hooked" on fishing ever since, and was wondering what "hooked" you on fishing?
