Surfan, you just can't beat the Trilene XT. IMO. I use it pretty much exclusively on all my reels, fresh and salt. With the exception of my Ambassador 5500 which is spooled with 12 lb Ande clear, another awesome line for pure toughness, Trilene goes on all my reels. It's a really strong, castable, sightless line. Again JMO. I can usually scale down a notch or two on the test rating cause it's so strong. I have never lost a fish due to the line breaking. It's usually a bad knot or the hook will unbutton for some reason. It just doesn't break. I guess I haven't come out from under my rock yet cause I have no desire to try any of the new lines or flaurocarbon stuff. Don't feel a need to. Again, just my 2 cents.
