When conditions are very windy and a lightweight jighead isn't enough to push through it, a Carolina-rigged bait will still be off the bottom (while a heavy jig would likely drag bottom) AND castable. I use this with the WHAM-type swimbaits rather than the BH-type. For what it's worth, I haven't had nearly the success with the butts as has LeapinBass...
