#9853, "Late Santa Cruz report 5/31"

Saturday I launched out of Channel Islands harbor along with my buddies Adam Cassidy and Jeff Barr, and ran over to front side of Santa Cruz island to do some boiler bassing. The run across was nice and the water temps on the front side varied from 55-60. Bite wise the bass were biting pretty good! We ended the day CNRing 57 legal calicos with a dozen going 3-5lbs, all caught on 4/5/6in Big Hammers with browns and reds being the hoter colors...Larry

Real fish are measured in pounds - not inches!
