Hey Kaman, I usually fish 5th street which is about 3/4 mile south of the plant. I have had very good luck there from 1 hour prior to high tide to 1 hour after, using my 15 foot surf rod and squid. Last month I caught a batray that was 42 inches from wingtip to wingtip and talk about a fight, my arms were burning. That whole area seems to be very good fishing and I am looking forward to using the lighter tackle. The swimbait sounds like fun!!! As for the sandcrabs, they are a hit and miss there. Sometimes they are so plentiful and other times they dont exist, so dont count on the sandcrabs for your only bait. Be prepared!!! I will try to keep anyone that maybe interested with future info, and hopefully some pictures to back up my stories. Keep fishing brother and sisters!!! :-)
