Just got off the phone with a close friend who commercial fishes in San Diego.He's a reliable source, I worked with him for a season on the Producer.Anyhow, he was fishing commercial rockfish on the Mexican coast today in nice weather. He decided to make the run out to the 391 were albies HAVE been caught since the end of the season. He ended up with 2 troll fish, nobody was with him so it was impossible to slide any bait back in time, no boils were seen. The water is 60.5. I totally believe him, he doesnt bullshit like that and he was was too excited. He also got top dollar for those fish at a couple sushi bars. I may go down there next week, if for nothing else to fish bull bass in the weeds of ensenada. <P>Just a very interesting bit of dope I thought Id put out.
