Ran down to West Beach this afternoon with my daughter in tow to do a little surf fishing. Tide was fairly high and coming up. The touristas were pretty thick but they thinned out as it got later. Fished for about an hour an 45 min and stuck 6 flatties. The biggest and only one I measured was 21.5, not that I would have kept it anyways, but it's always nice to know you got a legal. Had another about the same size, a couple of 19 to 20 inchers and a couple of 16 inchers. I was kind wide open towards the end with 4 fish in about 1/2 hour. Had to leave them biting. All fish came on the 3 inch Big Hammer in 'seawolf', with a plain head and a bit of pro-cure sand shrimp flavor. Can't wait to hit it from the tube.
