Managed to get a day off of work to go fish on a 3/4 day out of Dana Point. The bite is starting to improve with the warming water. Surface temps were 70-72 around the San Onofre area.

We caught a lot of short Calicos with some mixed sand bass to 5 pounds. I think the Calico bite should get good real soon. I managed one YT that was around 25 pounds. I also had a WSB roll on my iron early in the day and hooked and lost a black sea bass on a 5" Hammer. Good signs of things to come this year :)
