#1743, "Alamitos Bay Tournament"

Well I got second in the Floattuber Tournament tonight. Launched at 5:30 and weighed in at 10:30pm. I ended up weighing in 4#14 I think, got me second and bigfish. Bigfish was only 1.5# though. Whole bag (5 fish) was sandies (culled one barely legal), caught on two different baits. 2 were on junebug Robo Zippers. The rest of my fish (inluding the dumped and short ones) were on a chocolate/purple freak bait. Go figure, I can't get a bite w/ them in the freshwater. Don't know the brand, but may have been Baby Brushhogs.

Weather was snotty though. Wind was howling and cold, current was smoking. Plus, I had to stay on the inside close to the launch area since my tube has a new leak. Not so happy w/ my Navigator, I must say. Now I need a 3rd set of tubes.

On the good news side, I have a solid 1rst for the season so far, and a good shot at the 2 combos and the Woodriver tube at the end of the season.
