Well what a difference a couple days makes, after Sundays carnage my buddy Matt was was jonesing to get his brother Randy who is visiting from Utah out and on to some plastic bass. Kind of a funny observation, I was the first of my group of four plastic slinging gun boats to show up at the ramp ,and by the time I got done talking to everybody and finished flushing my brakes, I was the only boat left a the ramp? No matter anyways cause those fish out front haven’t been biting till the sun comes out anyway! So Matt and Randy show up and were off! We get out with the rest of the gang and nothing really happening even after the sun comes up??? Finally we start picking a little as the current picks up, but still pretty slow compared to how its been, so we pick around a half a dozen spots out front for a fish here and there till the bite went totally dead, so we run for the shoe (horseshoe rock) Interesting ride down cause my hydraulic steering is now slipping meaning I have to turn the wheel to port slowly and constantly just go straight :-( So we picked around down there for another 6-8 fish then back to the one mile to check the afternoon bite, there we got a few shorts and one legal for our efforts, so over to the last chance spot “Ledbetter” there we picked off another 6 fat sandies for a total of 42 mixed legal bass to 31/4 lbs 40/60 calico/sandy mix all caught on 4-5 in hammers with a little bit of everything colorwise working and a little bit of the poo (procure) dabbed on them. Nice to see the Sea Chaser, Crawdad, and the Bluefin out on the water and to have friends nearby to yell at! :-)...Larry

Real fish are measured in pounds - not inches!
