#5745, "Live Bait - How to fish for it"

I'm looking for information on how, where, and when to find these types of live bait:

Anchovy
Sardine
Squid

I'll be fishing with these baits just past surf breaks, using a small kayak. I can get live muscles and sand crabs on the beaches around Cardiff through Encinitas. However, I've only been using the above baits frozen, and I'm ready to use live baits.

I use live baits in Mission Bay, but there is bait barge. Live bait has me hooked, for now, and soon I'll move to lures. Any information on how, where, and when to get those live baits would be great. I'll likely be fishing for Halibut, Seabass, and for fun, Sand Shark and ShovelNose. I'd rather fish for them when I'm out in the water, then buy them.
