.. with all this newport talk I had to go down and get me a quick fix of these fightin dudes. Launched the little aluminum at 10:00
into a good outgoing tide.The current was movin pretty good.Second cast with the wormking BUMP.. Im ON! little sandbass bout 10 in. next cast same spot, BUMP.. nice little 11 inch spottie..COOL! their home today! pick up a 8 or 9 em the first hour all pretty much that size, then a drift in front of one of my fav slips WHAM! strong run towards pilling and up comes a 16 spottie.NICE! couple more slips down I pick the big 1oz blade( all this big spottie-spinnerbait talk had meomories and my blood flowin and is actually what I went down to do) couple cast later thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthump THUMP! SWING! Im ON on the blade.RIGHT ON! fat 15 in spottie, wacked it good.. Mission accomplised.. threw it bout 20 more times for nothin. Pick up the wormking and it was instant..we slowly pick away at em couple more hours then about 1:00 I hang my biggest spottie of the new year. The fish was all of 19inches and pushin 4lbs! Phat dude! some more smaller bass and a nice 21inch butt' on 6lb ended the day! Out by 230 to try to beat that 91 traffic..never works!Our Final count 11 sandies, 1 (mini)calico, 19 spotties(many under 12inches!),1 Halibut..not to bad for a quick fix and will be back SOON....... KEEP EM BENT!!!!!!!!!!
