Bass will eat trout immitating swimbaits even in lakes that don't have trout. That's been seen out here in CA over and over again, so your main concern should just be what swimbait is best for the conditions you've got out there. If the bass seem to be in thick cover, maybe a mission fish type lure is best, or if they're on a topwater attack an ms slammer might be your best choice. Throw around what you've got and try to give the bass what they want to see and you'll do just fine. Even through the course of the day it might take a little experimenting to see what the fish are doing, but vary your depths and speeds and lure choices and you ought to figure em out eventually.
