What I did to mine was, I heated up a blade from a cardboard cuter till it was red hot, useing some long nose pliers to hold the blade, then VERY carefully just shaved off a little plastic just before the end of the tail, one side at a time. It worked great, lots of tail action at slow speeds. Just take your time in doing this because it would be very easy to cut too deep, and ruin the bait, hope this helps. Dave M.
