The reason for th re-rig, is first and foremost, they rip after a couple fish. Keep fishing your Osprey and eventually you'll catch a fish that will rip the harness rig out of the bait. You've probably noticed that it's starting to rip if you've caught any fish on it yet. The bait is designed to do this, but unfortunately it's not cost effective if you're catching 1 and 2lb. fish. If it only caught 10lbers, then I'd pay $17 per bait, per fish, but as it is, I don't want to lose a bait over a 1.5lber. The other reason is because I was missing quite a few fish, so I added another treble behind the original one. Bass World West adds another treble also, in a similar location. Pretty much the only difference is that they stick one point of the hook into the bait and I let em hang like a slammer.
