#5705, "RE: They're eating trout at Margarita." In response to In response to 2
I was at a seminar last year where Mike Long talked about something he had observed. He observed that when the trout plants arrived at a certain lake the really huge bass were waiting for them. They had developed sort of an internal clock to know when the trucks would arrive. As soon as the trout hit the water - the bass would knoc two trout silly - basically stunning them and then go back and devour each one. What a site that must have been.
I've seen bass knock bait fish out of the water - with the idea of turning them so that they could swallow them head first.
