I completly agree with Rob. I have never got bit on a figure 8 and The only time I seen fish eat the bait was when they were small or I was shore fishing, back up on the bank in camos. I have also had very poor succes at turning followers into biters. I just make mental notes and hit the spots later and little more carefull. I hear people talk about the figure 8 or catching followers but I tend to think they are just passing info that they have heard.
