I recently received a shipment of the new and improved ABT Wag Tail Soft Series swimbaits. I must say that I am extremely impressed with the improvements. In the first batch of baits I purchased I felt the stock hook could have offered a little more gap. The hook on the newer baits has been raised up an 1/8 of an inch or so and now offers what I consider to be the perfect gap for this size and style of swimbait. Not to mention the hook is sharp and very stout. My hat goes off to ABT for listening to the suggestions of anglers and making the modifications accordingly.

The only other issue I had with my initial batch was the paint on one of my baits seemed to peel off fairly easily on the back. This issue has obviously been addressed and the new paint jobs on these baits are very impressive. I rubbed one of my new baits vigorously and there is definitely a vast improvement over the original as far as durability is concerned. Even when I applied a significant amount of pressure, the paint didn't budge. Not only does the integrity of the paint seem to have improved considerably, the paint jobs look even more lifelike and the colors are more brilliant than before.

I now have even more confidence in the Wag Tail going into this season. I have a good feeling quite a few big largies and smallies will fall victim to this lure in '08.
