Well, I picked up FishJC at about 8PM and we went to Calero. Parked at the ranger station, walked down to Bailey cove and started fishing. Heard the rangers over the loud speaker, but couldn't make out what they were saying except for my car. So we decided to go out and move the car over to the road past the dam. Found a ticket on my window and went in to ask the rangers about it. They were very unfriendly and said the ticket was mine and my fishing was over for the night. So started the night on a bad foot. I think I'm pretty much writing off Calero due to boats/inaccessability/unfriendly rangers.
So we decided to go to Coyote instead of just going home. Started fishing from the launch ramp shore line. I caught a 6-10 on a 10" worm that fought good and jumped a few times. Jos caught an 11-01 on a crank bait. We left at about 3:30AM.
Fiero broke down on the way home. Think it is the fuel pump. Anyway, Needed to get a tow home at 5AM in the morning. Called on the freeway call phone and got a tow truck. This only took about 1 1/2 - 2Hrs. Used Joe's AAA to pay for the tow. Got Joe home at 7:15AM in my Boxster.
What an eventful trip and how about those fish???? WoW it was nice to hold an 11# fish. Needless to say I'll be doing some more Coyote very soon. Maybe some more night trips. Need to call the rangers to make sure it is OK to fish at night there and how/what can I do to get on the water at dawn. Just to make sure I don't get another ticket or what to look out for. Oh, by the way, we only had a box camera with us and tried to take pictures with the light we had. Won't know if we got anything to show until I have them developed. It is so neat to watch lunker fish being released and swimming off to get caught another day.
Hey Joe, How much money did you say you had to buy your pictures? (haha).
