Promoted the Future Pro tour again this time at Clear Lake. 196 teams fished this event. Some impressive weights were brought in despite the nasty front we had. Most fish moved off their beds and were found in deeper water. From what I heard most ppl caught their fish on swimbaits and plastics. The big fish(worth $750) a little over a 11 lbr. The winning weight(winner took home close to $4000) was 3 fish for 21 lbs. Was a impressive weigh in.
As far as me and my boss we went north and ripped 7 fish within a hour biggest went 5. Tossed a Joe C swimbait and got my first swimbait fish nice 3 lber. Fished in the rain and heavy winds for 2 more hrs with nada. Got hit a few times on a mission fish but no solid hook-ups. Went back to the place we ripped fish in the morning and started ripping again. My boss nailed 3 right off the bat. I ended up get 2 more keepers and a kamikaze 3/4 lbr that felt big but was foul hooked.
We left with a 5 fish limit for 14-15 lbs. Not a bad day on the water(and I got paid for it)!!!!
